Levels of Instruction

7:00PM -8:00PM

• Group1: Teacher: Jane Thomas
• The children are enrolled in Kindergarten and Grade 1 in regular school. The class will focus on Malayalam conversational language and introduce letter recognition and simple writing techniques.
• Group 2: Teacher: Sonia Thomas
• Students have completed Group 1. New students who are in lower grades are included. The class will focus on conversation, letter/word recognition and writing skills.
• Group 3: Teacher: Betsy Varghese
• Students have completed Group 2. The class will focus on conversational skills, and further their writing and word recognition.

• Group 4: Teacher: Alice Thukalil and Riya Titus
• New Students in Grade 5-7. The first year at Gurukulam. The class will focus on Malayalam conversational language and work on letter recognition, reading and writing.

• Group 5: Teacher: Catherine Vembenil and Lissy Joseph
• Returning students enrolled in Grades 5 and 8. This class is meant for those that understand the Malayalam language and wish to increase their vocabulary and the ability to read and to have conversations in Malayalam.

• Group 6: Teacher: J. Mathews
• Students in Grades 5-10. The class will focus on Malayalam conversational language and review letters and words. Includes high school students.
